As the City Rocks AAU Program Continues Their Succsss, the Providence Friars has taken an interest in one of their 2008 prospects.

Jordan Stevens, a 6’5” wing from Saratoga Springs High School, is another player looking to create more of a buzz this upcoming summer on the AAU circuit. He has already been offered by Providence, Rhode Island, Western Kentucky, Fairfield, Albany and is getting looks from Saint Joseph’s and other schools.

“He’s getting a lot of mail right now,” according to Carmen Maciariello, the club’s vice president.

New Providence College head coach Keno Davis is still trying to gain his footing in the east coast recruiting battles and his anticipated hiring of Pat Skerry from Rhode Island would be a tremendous move. According to Jeff Goodman of FoxSports.com, if Providence Snags Skerry it would be an absolute home run as Skerry was recently tabbed as the #1 mid-major assistant in a poll Goodman conducted.
